［GEISAI寺子屋vol.3 入門編］終了！
GEISAI Terakoya vol. 3 – Beginner's Guide Edition event report
４月13日(土)、GEISAI 寺子屋 入門編が行われました。 今回の入門編では、GEISAIに参加経験の有 る美大生や、 美大を卒業したばかりの作家の方々にお声掛け頂き 美大生から見た、GEISAIについての視点、と言う切り口で、 イベントが行われました。
On Saturday April 13, GEISAI Gallery hosted GEISAI Terakoya vol. 3 – Beginner’s Guide Edition.
The edition focused on a discussion about GEISAI as seen by art college students, presented by student-artists and artists who have recently graduated from art colleges.
李丞鎭さん
今回は大量の「目」のプリントアウトを展示された李丞鎭さん。
現代の社会における様々な人間の感情、状況を様々な形で表現しているそうです。 ネット上で作品をアーティスト同士で作品を投稿する企画「日刊７」「七色写真」「漫画爆弾」等も運営されておられます。
BuckSpaceというHipHopグループにも所属し、 会場でフリースタイルのラップも披露してくれました。

Seung-jin Lee
Seung-jin Lee exhibited photo prints of numerous eyes. Lee deals with different emotions of contemporary people, or distinct situations surrounding each one of them, using a wide range of art styles and media.
He hosts several online projects too where artists can upload their artworks to share them with fellow artists.
Also as a member of HipHop group "BuckSpace," Lee gave a freestyle rap performance with Ryosuke Sato.

佐藤亮介さん
今回はイラストレーションを展示。
デザイナーとしても活動しておられるとの事で。 佐藤さんも、李丞鎭さんと一緒に、 フリースタイルラップパフォーマンスを見せてくれました。

Baku Kinoshita
Kinoshita exhibited 2D pieces for which he employed 3DCG technology.
His body of work includes cartoonish animations and illustrations, too.

ボールペンや鉛筆画でロゴのようなイラストなど書いている杉山さん。 今の作品は、ラフなスタンスでの制作を心がけているとの事。

パフォーマンス
今回のライブパフォーマンスは、即興でラップを歌うフリースタイルを、 李さんと佐藤さん の2人の掛合で行い、アート、美大、等へのdisも本音も織り交ぜて、ビートに乗せてラップさせて行きます。
周りのお客さんも、引き寄せられる様にギャラリーに入って来ます。
Live performance
MSeung-jin Lee and Ryosuke Sato performed a freestyle rap conversation in which they sang out their most honest feelings sometimes amounting to disses, towards art and art colleges.
People who were walking the corridor heard them rap and some of them curiously stepped into the gallery.
トーク場もあったまって来た所で、 今回の参加作家さんが集まってのトークに移り、 ［美大生からみたGEISAIについて］というテーマで、 参加経験のある方、無い方、お客として見に行った方、等、 様々な立場方が順番に意見を述べて行きます。
Discussion
The ice has been broken and it's time for us to move on to the main part; discussion around the theme "GEISAI as seen by art college students" participated by everyone – from those already experienced the fair to those not, and those who have been there as visitors.
今回、3331へアーティスト イン レジデンスに来ている、 中国の作家、ルーヤンさんも、ラップのフリースタイルに誘われて、 思わずトークに参加。

他にも、韓国からG#18へ参加されるされる出展者の方も来られて、国際色豊かな［シャベリ場］状態となりました。
Luyang, a Chinese artist who was visiting the building for an artist-in-residence program got lured into the gallery by the rap performance and eventually found herself in the discussion.

Also participated by a Korean artist who is exhibiting in upcoming GEISAI#18, the discussion took on a very international tone.
その後、内容はフリートークに移行し、 アーティスト同士の、お互いの立ち位置を話し合う内容となり、
「今、自分達にとってリアリティの有る表現方法とは何か？」
「若い作家の、アーティストグループというあり方とは？」
といった、これからの作家として、如何に立ち回って行くべきかといった、 具体的な課題を話し合う場となりました。
The session shifted to a free talk around the career related questions like "what kind of media we find most practical/effective at the moment?" or "what an artist group of our generation should be like?"
最後に作家の皆さんで記念撮影。
次回の寺子屋は、27日(土)に、 GEISAI#18の前々夜祭も兼ねて、行われる予定です。 皆さん是非お越し下さい！
